The mission of “All India Council for Physical Education is to take all such steps or suggest to the Central Government
or State Governments as it may think fit for ensuring planned and coordinated development of, “teacher education” in Physical Education and for the determination and maintenance of standards for, “teacher education” in Physical Education and for the purposes of performing its functions
(a) To undertake surveys and studies relating to various aspects of teacher education in Physical Education various interdisciplinary research and studies and publish the result thereof.
(b) To make recommendations to the Central and State Government, Universities, University Grants Commission and recognized institutions in the matter of preparation of suitable plans and programmes in the field of teacher education in Physical Education.
(c)To co-ordinate and monitor teacher education in Physical Education and its development in the country.
(d) To lay down guidelines in respect of minimum qualifications for a person to be employed as a teacher of Physical Education in schools or in recognized institutions.
(e) To lay down norms for any specified category of courses or trainings in teacher education in Physical Education,including the minimum eligibility criteria for admission thereof, and the method of selection of candidates, duration of then course, course contents and mode of curriculum and conduct of workshop, conference and symposium.
(f) To lay down guidelines for compliance by recognized institutions, for starting new courses or training, and for providing physical and instructional facilities, staffing pattern and staff qualification in Physical Education.1. Allied scientific Research and Studies in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports Sciences.
(g) To lay down standards in respect of examinations leading to teacher education qualifications in Physical Education other above mentioned subjects, criteria for admission to such examinations and schemes of courses or training.
(h)To lay down guidelines regarding tuition fees and other fees chargeable by recognized institutions.
(i) To promote and conduct innovation and research in physical education various areas of teacher education related withphysical education and other multidisciplinary subjects mentioned in and disseminate the results thereof.
(j) To examine and review periodically the implementation of the norms, guidelines and standards laid down by the Council, and to suitably advise the recognized institution overflow-wrap: break-word; color.
(k) Evolve suitable performance appraisal system, norms and mechanism for enforcing accountability on recognized institutions.
(l) Formulate schemes for various levels of teacher education and identify recognized institutions and set up new institutions for teacher development programme.
(m) Take all necessary steps to prevent commercialization and exploitation of teacher of the Institutions / colleges /universities of teachers education in physical education and other faculties of physical education.
(n) Perform such other functions as may be decided by the council with the coordinated effort or as may be entrusted to it by the Central Government.To make inspection in the teachers’ training institutions / colleges / universities for physical education and sports sciences in India and provide the proper professional guidance to the institutions / colleges / universities for better quality and vocational education in

(o) To establish a Cell/Board to provide the Registration facilities for the various Gym/HEALTH CARE CENTRES to diffuse the useful knowledge their rights by peaceful representation.
(p) To receive financial and non-financial assistance from Govt./Non-Govt./ Organization, International Agencies, banks and any other legal entity or individual.
(q) To accept donation, Grants presents gifts and other offerings in the shape of movable and/or immovable properties for the attainment of the aims and objectives.
(r) To collect information, Notifications, Policies from the Government, Semi Government, National/International Agencies and N.G.Os. and provide the same to the public.
(s) To provide legal, medical aid, social economic help and assistance to the needy people, at free of cost.
(t) To approach to the competent court/courts to safeguard the right of the general public and for the public interests from time to time as the Board of Trust may deem fit and proper.
(u) To organize and raise funds and/or the donations towards the CM/PM Relief Funds.
(v) To publish Books, Charts, Illustrations, Journals, Magazines, Periodicals, News Letter/Papers and other publications in the different languages and on the different subjects for council.
(w) To assist and co-operate the other Associations, Trusts and the various N.G. Os’ whose aims are same as this Trust.
(x) To do such other things/acts/activities, which are necessary and which may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of any other object of the Trust.
(y) To help the sports and physical education community by providing the placement service.
(z) The Aims and Objects of the Trust shall be purely for ‘CHARITABLE PURPOSE’ which includes relief of the poor,educational, social, medical, relief and the advancement of any other objects of general public utility.
